When in reality you should BE confident, all those gurus want you to ACT like you are. You have no justification for pretending to be confident when you aren't. Imagine having only ever eaten quick food, then finding oneself at a five-star French restaurant and having to place a wine order in French. The waitress will recognize that you are not French and that you lack self-assurance.

Being real and honest with her is the best course of action. A romantic picnic can be made with items you can afford after telling her you couldn't afford to go out to an expensive restaurant. You'll find that doing something simple but classy to let her know who you are on the inside will wow her much more than attempting to pull off the bad boy routine you just bought online for $29.95.
